Cinderella 10 – There is a Happy Ending for You

There is Such a Thing as Happily Ever After!

Yes, Cinderella and the Prince get married and go on to wedded bliss. Well, that’s what we believe because there was never a sequel – Cinderella and When the Honeymoon Phase Ended. The idea of everything being perfect all of the time once you’ve met and married your Prince, is truly a fairy tale. Life and business are messy. It will never be perfect every minute of every day. But it can be happy now and moving forward.

The keys I’ve learned about happily ever after all come from the start. Are you in a business or line of work that you actually like? If you are just doing something because you can, or should, or told you’d be good at, but don’t really enjoy, almost no level of success will bring eternal happiness. Slogging away, day after day at something you hate, but are good at, is a draining prospect.

Just like nothing is impossible, I’m not telling you to drop everything to pursue a career in acting if you’ve never taken a class or stood on stage. But you can find businesses and jobs in just about any industry you love that can be the first step. Now, that you are in an industry you love, go back through the steps and make that your path to Happily Ever After.

Notice the saying is Happily and not Perfectly Ever After. Even if you are in an industry you love, there are going to be some hiccups and detours. That’s Life. Just like never give up, one hiccup doesn’t usually damage an entire career. Learn from the mistakes and keep moving forward. One or two bad days don’t ruin a lifetime of happiness and success.
